Project Summary

Northshore is one of Australia's most exciting urban renewal precincts which is being developed under the guidance of the Queensland Government. As the Northshore precinct rapidly evolves, it was essential to the keep the public informed of current and future development in the precinct. Brightfox was retained by EDQ to build a standalone touchscreen solution in a dedicated rotunda available to the public 24 x 7 to discover all about Northshore. Located beside the busy Eat Street, the touchscreen was used by thousands of people to much success.

Due to its exposed and unsupervised location, the solution had to be extremely robust and also easy to use. Brightfox achieved this through working with our technology partner to create a custom touchscreen that was secure and tamper proof, and also monitored in real time.

The digital solution was developed in conjunction with leading advertising agency Hoyne to produce a truly interactive experience that showcased the history of Northshore and its exciting future. Realtime CMS functionality enabled EDQ to update latest news and also events and 'things to do' in the Northshore precinct which benefitted both consumers and local businesses.
